Hilton Head to team up
Plans are in the works to team Hilton Head Island’s emergency services with those of Chalmette, LA.
The ’sister-city’ plan announced over the weekend would mkae emergency personnel from both cities available in the event of another catastrophe like Hurricane Katrina.
Chalmette is a suburb of New Orleans, and as such was hit pretty badly. The hope is that the as well as sharing personel, lessons learned there could be used to apply to Hilton Head too.
