South Carolina Magazine, and South Carolina Golf Today voted Hampton Hall Golf Course, in Bluffton near Hilton Head as the runner up for Best New Course of the Year, 2005.

Although beaten to the top award by Davis Love III’s Patriot Club at Grand Harbor, this is a great honor for Hampton Hall, who opened the great Pete Dye course last year to much acclaim.

Votes were cast by golf coaches, players, writers and more across the state, with Patriot’s Club scoring 54.5 to Hampton Hall’s 43.7.
