By far the most famous course on the island, in no small part to the annual MCI Heritage of Golf Tournament which is held here each April. Harbour Town golf course is a Pete Dye course with a great history.
Harbour Town was the first course to be built on Hilton Head, and the spearhead for Sea Pines Plantation and all the growth that the island has seen since. The eighteenth hole is known to golf lovers around the world with the intimidating Calibogue Sound to the left, and the easily recognizable lighthouse behind the green.
Designed by Pete Dye, but in consultation with the legendary Jack Nicklaus, Harbour Town Golf Links is consistently named in the Top Courses of the USA by Golf Magazine. Be sure to book in plenty of time as this is one course that is often fully booked.
