Designed Bruce Borland, a member of the Nicklaus Design Group, the Golden Bear at Indigo Run was opened in the early 1990s, and has recently been selected as one of the "Top 100 Value Courses" in America, by Travel and Leisure Magazine.
Currently the only course on-island to feature the ParView GPS Caddy System (Eagles Pointe and Crescent Pointe also have this in the off-island courses), the Golden Bear in Hilton Head is the sister course to the Country Club. The fairways are gently rolling, but with very little elevation, making it an almost 'park-like' course to play, with trees providing good shade, particularly in the summer months.
