There is always plenty to do in Hilton Head Island, even if the beach or golfing is not your thing!
The sight of mini-vans with numerous bikes strapped to the back is a common one in the summers months here, as there are more than fifty miles of bike paths criss-cross Hilton Head Island. Bicycles are also allowed on the beaches, so it really is a great way to get around Hilton Head, you can even burn off some of the vacation calories.
f you arrive in Hilton Head by car you won't fail to miss one of the big draws to the area, the Tanger Outlet Centers (formerly the Hilton Head Factory Stores). These two centers, named 1 and 2, are on Highway 278 near Hilton Head National Golf Course and a mecca for bargain hunters in the area..
